2. Begin removing excess water. Use towels, rags and a shop vac to soak up excess water within the bathroom. Remove curtains, towels, rugs and other items to reduce the chances of sitting water.
3. Ventilate the area as much as possible. Open windows in the bathroom, or near the area to bring in airflow.
